Tony Guarino

Tony Guarino is a third year undergraduate percussionist at the Juilliard School, currently studying with Greg Zuber. Though he primarily studies western classical music in school, Tony has strong interests in many genres, including jazz, funk, electronic, avant-garde, and folk music of many different cultures. Recently, he has been taking the Interactive Music Technology class at Juilliard's Center for the Innovation of the Arts, and will continue this work this summer at the Atlantic Music Festival's Future Music Lab. His musical ideas are strongly influenced by the writings of the Italian Futurists and John Cage.
