Manami Mizumoto

Violinist Manami Mizumoto is a native New Yorker, and began to play the violin at age 3, attending the School for Strings, and Special Music School. At 16, she was accepted into the Juilliard Pre-College while attending Hunter College High School, and went on to study at the Juilliard School two years later. She is now about to complete her Bachelor of Music degree at the Juilliard School under the guidance of her teachers Catherine Cho and Joel Smirnoff. She has performed at venues such as Merkin Concert Hall, Zankel Hall, and Weill Recital Hall, and done outreach performances at facilities such as Mount Sinai and Memorial Sloan Kettering. An avid chamber musician, she has also participated in many summer music festivals including Kneisel Hall, the Heifetz Institute, Yellow Barn YAP, and Music@Menlo.
