Jasmine Mengjia Lin
Jasmine (Mengjia) Lin, age 18, is a prize winner of numerous competitions, including the overall laureate at the 2014 Kocian International Violin Competition and the first prize at the national finals of the 2013 Canadian Music Competition. Jasmine has, since then, made her debut with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Paradubice and has performed alongside the likes of Martin Beaver and in masterclasses taught by renowned artists such as, Leila Joseifowicz, Vilde Frang, Ilya Kaler, Sylvia Rosenberg, Mikhail Kopelman, and Victor Danchenko. Jasmine was born in Toronto, Canada and is currently studying at the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Masao Kawasaki and was previously a student of Atis Bankas at the Taylor Academy of the Royal Conservatory of Music.
